Inventory Controller

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Controller to join our team. The Inventory Controller will play a crucial role in managing food and beverage inventory for our company's restaurants. This position requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, especially the accounting department.

 

Responsibilities:


1. Inventory Management:

   - Oversee the tracking and monitoring of food and beverage inventory levels across multiple restaurant locations.

   - Implement Odoo ERP efficient inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.

   - Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

 

2. Purchasing and Receiving:

   - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of food and beverage items.

   - Verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.

   - Manage purchase orders and maintain proper documentation of all transactions.

 

3. Forecasting and Analysis:

   - Analyze inventory levels and consumption patterns to forecast future needs accurately.

   - Collaborate with the accounting department to develop inventory budgets and cost-saving strategies.

   - Generate reports on inventory performance, including variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.

 

4. Collaboration:

   - Work closely with the accounting department to reconcile inventory records and financial data.

   - Collaborate with restaurant managers and chefs to understand menu requirements and adjust inventory accordingly.

   - Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address inventory-related issues and streamline processes.

 

5. Compliance and Regulation:

   - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.

   - Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions to meet regulatory requirements.

   - Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting inventory management practices.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- Proven working experience in Odoo ERP software.

- Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with restaurant inventory management systems.

- Certification in inventory management or supply chain management.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
